Art

I wouldn't really call myself an artist but I do enjoy painting and other creative activities in my free time. Here's a showcase of some of my works.

2024-2025

During this period, I made 2 paintings: a reproduction of David Lynch's Dune poster and an original painting inspired by Wassily Kandinsky. I also created a Venus de Milo-like statue from clay, which I later put a 3D-printed hat on, and painted a plate with zodiac signs at the Riga Porcelain Museum. Then, there are photos I made with the pinhole camera I 3D-printed, which accidentally became a collage/panorama.

2023-2024 - coffee paintings

The story with these is that I had a jar of instant coffee (for guests, I don't drink coffee) and somehow humidity got inside causing all the pieces to stick together, and effectively making it spoiled. I wanted to clean the jar so I poured some water in, and then a thought occurred to me - it could be an interesting paint! So here are some experiments I've made using this newly discovered paint.

2014-2016

In those years, I painted a reproduction of Wassily Kandinsky's Black Grid, made a pastel drawing of flowers, and did some sketches of historical buildings.
